Coaching vs. Therapy

A professional coach is curious, self-aware, and lives a meaningful life. A coach helps clients work toward taking responsibility of their lives, by asking questions to guide them to define their passions, strengths, and talents. Coaches are like psychotherapist, by possessing integrity, and being passionate about making people better. However, coaches differ from psychotherapy, by focusing on the client’s future, versus their past.

Psychotherapists assist clients with identifying issues that stem from their past, that effects their present life. While coaches, work toward seeing issues on the same level of clients and provide guidance for them to determine what needs to be done next. Coaches guide clients with a holistic approach, encompassing their productivity, time management, energy, finances, and social life.
